The Canadian Urban Institute (http://www.canurb.com/home.php) is honouring FLOW 93.5 CEO Denham Jolly with a 2008 Urban Leadership Award in the City Soul category, as a result of his significant contribution to the public realm in Canada. Recipients of the City Soul award are defined as those “whose pursuits inspire, inform, enrich and engage our collective spirits whether through the arts, entertainment, heritage programs, sport and recreation or cultural exchange.”
Mr. Jolly will be honoured at an award ceremony in late May, 2008 at a luncheon in downtown Toronto.

Youth Assisting Youth (YAY)
Youth Assisting Youth (YAY) is a non-profit charitable organization which is focused on building "special friendships" between "at risk" children aged 6 to 15 and youth volunteers aged 16 to 29. YAY's Youth Volunteers act as positive peer role models in the lives of young people by offering guidance, advice and support. YMCA Employment and Community Services
The YMCA is a charity that acts as a strong support system for people of all ages. Their youth employment and community services programs are geared to helping youth between the ages of 16 and 29. Youth can work one-on-one with their employment counselors to address their specific needs. The YMCA helps young people find jobs, access apprenticeship programs, write resumes and cover letters. The YMCA works with over 5,000 employers across the GTA. The Y offers free workshops on all sorts of topics all geared to helping young people get connected to a rewarding job or career direction.
